These terms apply to your use of the Hukm Law Firm website ("the Website"). By using the Website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using the Website you confirm that you have read and accepted these terms and that you are at least 18 years old. Our legal services are governed by a separate written engagement letter, which prevails over these terms for the services it covers.
2. Our services and no lawyer-client relationship
The Website describes Hukm Law Firm ("the Firm") and its practice areas. Using it, reading its content or sending us a message does not create a lawyer-client relationship. That relationship begins only when:
we have completed our conflict and acceptance checks; and
we and you have signed a written engagement letter.
Until then, we cannot assume any duty to act for you, and we ask you not to send confidential or time-sensitive information. A deadline, limitation period or court date does not pause because you contacted us through the Website.
3. No legal advice on this website
The content of the Website, including articles, case examples and practice area descriptions, is general information. It is not legal advice, it does not cover every circumstance, and it may not reflect the latest changes in the law. Do not rely on it to make a decision or to take, or hold back from, any step. Ask a qualified lawyer to advise on your own facts.
Case examples describe past matters. They do not predict the outcome of any other matter.
4. Using the website
You agree to use the Website lawfully and respectfully. You must not:
use it in a way that breaks any applicable law or the rights of others;
try to gain unauthorised access to the Website, its servers or connected systems;
introduce viruses or other harmful code;
copy or collect content by automated means, such as scraping, except for ordinary search engine indexing;
send false, misleading or abusive messages through the inquiry form;
impersonate another person or misstate your affiliation.
We may suspend or restrict access at any time, without notice, to protect the Website or to comply with the law.
5. Intellectual property
The Website and its content, including text, design, logos, graphics and layout, belong to the Firm or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws. You may view the Website and print or save individual pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use, including copying, republishing, adapting or distributing content, requires our prior written permission. The name and logo of Hukm Law Firm are marks of the Firm and may not be used without that permission.
6. Third-party links and content
The Website may link to websites, tools and services run by others. We do not control them, we do not endorse them, and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability or privacy practices. Following a link is at your own risk, and the terms and policies of the other site apply.
7. Disclaimers
We work to keep the Website accurate and available, but we provide it "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we give no warranty, express or implied, about its accuracy, completeness, timeliness, suitability or uninterrupted operation, or that it is free of errors or harmful components.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Firm, its partners, lawyers and staff are not liable for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, arising from your use of the Website, your inability to use it, or your reliance on its content. This includes loss of profit, data or opportunity.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct. Liability for legal services is governed solely by the engagement letter and the applicable professional rules.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. Subject to any mandatory rule that gives you other rights, the courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from the Website or these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest revision. If you keep using the Website after a change, you accept the revised terms.
